FOOTBALL TERMS WOMEN SHOULD KNOW

Bootleg- a play in which the quarterback runs with the ball in the direction of either sideline behind the line of scrimmage

Backfield- the area in which the players are stationed behind the line of scrimmage

Fair Catch- during a punt, if the receiver feels like he’s about to get hit, he can wave his hand in the air which signals to the defense that they man not tackle him. It’s a rule in order to keep the players safe.

Encroachment- A violation of the rules in which a player enters the neutral zone and makes contact with an opponent prior to the snap of the ball.

Ray’s insecurity has upset him for their upcoming trip this weekend…he is worried that he (and LB) will be seen as a “nobody” in a sea of famous people. He is also worried that he and Lunchbox were only invited to be made fun of.

He finally slowed down and as the police officers arrested him, he told them that he had always wanted to do that. He was charged with reckless driving.
