Joe Nichols in the studio today!!
BOBBY AND THE GANG TALK “CMT: CROSSROADS”/SCOTTY MCCREERY
Nada and Intern Jack Black got to attend a taping of “CMT: Crossroads” featuring the Band Perry and Fall Out Boy yesterday. They talked about how awesome the show and Intern Jack Black said it ‘melted his face.’ Then, Bobby talked about his comment that irritated many McCreerian’s (Scotty McCreery’s fans) and how he handled the situation. Long story short, don’t tick off a country star’s die hard fans!!
A Wichita businessman is trying to find the owner of a small bag of cremated remains labeled "Grandma." A customer left the bag about two weeks ago at a liquor store in Kansas. The plastic bag with a small amount of ashes and a piece of paper reads "Remains of Helen K. Dapron," with "Grandma" in parentheses. Who carries that around and then loses it of all things?
The house that is featured in “Nashville” as the home of Juliette Barnes is for for sale. The house has a hefty $1.5 million dollar price tag. Bobby said Lunchbox should go try to take a tour. Let’s hope that works out.
There is now an iPhone case that both charges your phone and acts as your breathalyzer. Amy said that if you’re having to ask and plug a device into your phone to see if you’re good, you probably should not be driving. Well said, Amy.
Eight people died when a church bus blew a tire and crash on a major highway in East Tennessee. Sad story indeed. Prayers and thoughts for all involved.
In Florida, authorities are warning any and all people who have an open cut not to get in the open water because of the large amount of bacteria. You think people would know this.
A new study shows men are more aggressive behind the wheel while women are more likely to swear easier. Watch your mouth, moms everywhere!!
TEACHER GETS THE BOOT
The coach of a high school dance team was fired after the dance team performed to Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.” The teacher was fired after the team performed the dance at a high school football game. The teacher and many students don’t know why the teacher was fired. Sounds like the school needs to do more interesting things with their time.
IS BIGFOOT REAL?
A Pennsylvania man has claimed to find a “Bigfoot-like” creature. The woodsman snapped a picture of the backs of some mysterious woodland creature. Bobby has said for years that Bigfoot exists. Maybe he’s right.
RANDOM KID CODY OFFENDS BOBBY VIA TWEET
Bobby suggested that Random Kid Cody watch “Office Space.” Well he did, and tweeted to Bobby that it was not that funny. Obviously, Bobby was offended and asked told him he needs to watch it more than once. The gang said it was a pretty funny movie on its own. Cody chimed in that his favorite funny movie was “The Pineapple Express.” Different generations folks, different generations.
90 SECOND SKINNY
Kimberly Perry is spilling details about her engagement now that she’s off the market. She says her and her baseball player fianceé can relate to things like traveling, constantly full schedules, and more. She also recounts she felt the engagement was coming, but didn’t know to what extent.
Hank Williams Jr. is performing at the Nashville New Year’s Eve Bash at the end of this year and doing so in honor of his father’s 90th birthday. Hank’s father died on New Year’s Day in 1953 and so Hank Williams Jr. has never performed on new Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day, but has decided it’s time to break the trend in remembrance of his father.
WHAT YEAR WAS IT!?
Jimmy from Georgia called in today to play “What Year Was It?”
Song- “She Never Cried In Front Of Me”- Toby Keith
Movie- Kung Fu Panda
News- Britney Spears makes Billboard history with the biggest jump on the charts from #93 to #1.
Amy says 2005. Lunchbox and Bobby says 2007. No one got it. The year was 2008. Oh well, Jimmy still got a consolation prize. Woohoo!
JOE NICHOLS LIVE! IN STUDIO
Joe Nichols stopped by to chat with Bobby and the gang. He talked about his new album, his previous days as a radio DJ, and his awkward experience he had while filming his latest music video. Listen to it here:
BOBBY’S DENTIST/LUNCHBOX MAY SUE
Bobby has been talking about his latest dental problems. He grinds his teeth at night. He was going to go back to Austin but has decided that it’s time to find a new dentist in the Music City. He also talked about his mouthpiece he used to wear at night and how it was hard to use it when he had a lady friend over. SEXY!!
Lunchbox wants to sue BlackPeopleMeet.com. He says as he was watching the commercial, he realized only black people were in the commercial and cried discrimination. Lunchbox told Ray to go sign up and see if they let him be a part of the website. I guess we will have to wait and see.
LORDE HITS #1/CRAIG CAMPBELL SINGS ROYALS
Lorde is one of the youngest people to hit #1 on the Billboard Charts. We had our friend Craig Campbell do a cover of Lorde’s hit “Royals,” and he rocked it. Listen here:
AMY & RAY PREVIEW CASSADEE POPE'S ALBUM, DINE WITH SCOTT BORCHETTA
Amy got to go a label big-wig’s house to watch Cassadee Pope perform for the release of her new album and then had champagne and dinner. Ray went as well with a girl he considered “Plan B.” Bobby gave him a lesson in how you refer to people that aren’t your girlfriend. Bobby said Ray may need to call some girls after the show and apologize.
Amy also talked about a song Cassadee sang that made her tear up. She talked about how Cassadee sang a song about her parent’s divorce and that it resonated with Amy and past experiences she’s had in her life. The gang gave her flack but Nada came to her defense saying that even though she basically has no emotion....she almost teared up as well. Awe!
BOBBY TAKES SOME CALLS
Bobby took some time out of the morning routine to answer calls and hear what our awesome viewers had to say. We got to talk to a nervous caller, a Florida cheerleader and more. We can’t thank you enough when you call. It’s awesome
Bobby and the gang talk about some recent 911 experiences they have all had. Eddie talks about the experience his wife had with a rude 911 dispatcher and a knocked out girl behind the wheel. Eddie’s wife saw a girl laying on her steering wheel with her car on and her door open. When she called 911, they said if she wasn’t willing to go check on the random stranger then they couldn’t do anything for her. Nada talked about an experience she had. She saw a big dog in the hatchback of a car with the windows down and the dog looked tired. The gang berated her and said she was in no way winning her case. The gang then listened to a clip of a dispatcher laughing at a situation in which a man's girlfriend was set on fire.
DOGGY DAY CARE
Bobby talked about taking his dog to doggy day care. He said it’s awesome but he misses seeing the dog when he gets home. We can’t have it all, Bobby!

THE GANG CHECKS IN WITH CODY
Bobby and the gang check in with Cody to see if he’s accepted a job yet. Cody says he’s been offered a job as a window washer. Will it be a first floor job or will he be hanging from a skyscraper? Can Cody handle it with all the anxiety if so? Hopefully something will come along.
KEEPING THE HOUSE CLEAN
Ray and Lunchbox talked about the cleanliness of their house. Apparently, Ray is the clean one. That wasn’t too hard to figure out. Lunchbox explained that he hasn’t unpacked certain boxes and doesn’t even clean when his lady comes to town. Gross!
BOBBY GETS IN A MAGAZINE
Bobby talked about a recent party he went to for Nashville Lifestyles. He was featured in the magazines “25 Most Beautiful People.” Well someone sent an ugly email to Bobby saying he didn’t even deserve to be nominated. Haters gonna hate. Well, he took it all in stride. Then, Bobby and the gang talked to Bryan, the editor of Nashville Lifestyles, about the other people featured in the article and why Bobby’s age wasn’t in there.
END OF SHOW
The gang made fun of Amy for snapping a picture of pancakes, talked about Eddie being on CNN, and Lunchbox finds out white people are allowed on blackpeoplemeet.com! Sorry Lunch, you’re gonna have to drop your charges. Also, the free downloads for Craig Campbell’s country version sold out on Soundcloud.
That’s all for the today’s recap.
